Fuu, a young girl, is a waitress in her relatives tea shop. Little does she know that her simple life is about to be turned upside down. The Daikan and his son are throwing around their powerful status and causing trouble for the rest of the people. However, two completely opposite characters enter the village. Mugen, a stray dog from Ryukyu, and Jin, a ronin samurai, have no respect for the authority. Neither of them backsdown, and they get carried away in a fight to the death. This is inconvenient news for Fuu and her relatives tea shop. How will she calm these two warriors, and convince them to help her on her journey to find the "Sunflower Samurai?" This is a story about love, friendship and courage...NOT. :bulletpurple: Episode Captures:#1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 :bulletpurple: Episode 2:"Redeye Reprisal", The trio are starting on their journey to search for the "Sunflower Samurai." They pull their money together to find out that they are dirt poor. They'll have to take jobs in order to get by. However, they have a worse problem. A group of people speak of a bloodthirsty ogre that has been roaming the country side and wanted by the Kanto Police. This news peaks Mugen's interest, but are these peoples' intentions genuine or are they feeding him information. Fuu finds her limit, and who is this cowardly samurai that has taken a liking to Jin... :bulletpurple: Episode Captures:#1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 :bulletpurple: Episode 3:"Hellhounds for Hire (Part 1)", Mugen and Jin decide that they've had enough of this child's play. They come to a fork in the road and head their seperate ways, leaving Fuu all by herself. Mugen comes to a restaurant and helps himself to a table of food, knowing fully that he has sat with a table of yakuza gang members. The leader of the Nagatomi clan is impressed by Mugen's fierce passion. He decides to make Mugen his partner in crime. This boss has big plans and little pests, like the Kawara gang to contend with. Will Jin and Fuu be able to make it as good as Mugen, or will they just get tangled in more mayhem? :bulletpurple: Episode Captures:#1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7 :bulletpurple: Episode 4:"Hellhounds for Hire (Part 2)", The Nagatomi gang still has their eyes set on the Kawara gang's territory. Due to unfortunate events, the Nagatomi boss has found a legitimate way to take over and not by force. The leaders decide to settle their scores as true yakuza and leave it to chance: a dice game. Winner takes all and to the loser best regards. But, would a group of yakuza actually keep to their promise? And what part do Mugen, Jin, and Fuu have to play in this turf war? :bulletpurple: Episode Captures:#1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7 #8 :bulletpurple: Episode 5:"Artistic Anarchy", Shady business is going down in this small port town. Young women are mysteriously disappearing from all around. What do these disappearances have in common. Undercover detective, Sakami Manzou, is hot on the case. Meanwile, the trio need money to cross the ferry. Time to find some work. Mugen befriends a street gang. Jin has taken an honorable challenge of the mind, and Fuu has met an aspiring artist. She decides to model for the man's Ukiyoe artwork. What could be the harm in that? :bulletpurple: Episode Captures:#1,#2,#3,#4,#5,#6,#7 :bulletpurple: Episode 6:"Stranger Searching", Tired and hungry, the trio stumble upon the best news, yet. No, not about the "Sunflower Samurai," but an eating contest! However, the contest has an entrance fee, and they have to put up some collateral. That's not the only bad news. This village has been having some strange visitors, and they meet one of oddest Japanese persons of all, who wants them to show him around. Huh? You're Japanese and want a tour group? There seems to be something more flacky about this man than just his appearance. But, who is he? And, who's after him? And WHY? So, many questions, so little time. :bulletpurple: Episode Captures:#1,#2,#3,#4,#5,#6 :bulletpurple: Episode 7:"A Risky Racket", Still in Edo, the trio go to a gambling parlor to try to double up their money. Fuu strikes it big, and they head to a restaurant to fill their bellies. However, many things in this town are being clempt, as well as their new fortune. It's now a hunt to find the perpetrator behind these pick-pocketings. The police, gangs, and Mugen are now hot on the persute. What's the motivation behind all of these disappearances or is all for greed? :bulletpurple: Episode Captures:#1,#2,#3,#4 :bulletpurple: Episode 8:"The Art of Altercation", The trio are in desperate need of lodging and food. They come across a pawn shop. The owner is willing to make a deal, but is only interested in the rarest of items. Meanwhile, an abitious samurai and his group of followers are out to make a name for themselves by defeating an infamous samurai. They're only lead is that this samurai wears a pair of glasses. Could it be?...Nah. Elsewhere, a beautiful vixen has a way of getting any man she wants. Could this be a trap for Mugen and Jin or will she give Fuu a couple of pointers on attracting men? :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 :bulletpurple: Episode 9:"Beatbox Bandits", The Hakone Checkpoint is a notorious gate, which is known for being heavily guarded and run by corrupt officials. This spells bad news for the trio who have no passports and a record longer than my.... They're only hope to pass is if Mugen does a favor for the guards and returns by sunset. Otherwise, Jin and Fuu will be executed. But Mugen is faced with more than what he bargained for. A revolution is about to take place. Better not stay out too late. :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2, #3, #4 :bulletpurple: Episode 10:"Lethal Lunacy", People have been warned not to go out at night. The "Tsujigiri" has been stalking the strongest martial artists. His intentions are unknown, but the body count is adding up. The victems bear no wounds but have internal injuries. Mugen is intriqued by this tsujigiri's technique and his strength. Is Mugen a match for an opponent who has no rival? :bulletpurple: Episode Captures:#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8 :bulletpurple: Episode 11:"Gamblers and Gallantry", It's back to finding jobs for the group. Fuu has found a waitressing job. Mugen is playing with beetles, and Jin has found a cutting job. Well, cutting and serving food that is. He's accompanied by a pleasent woman who aids him in his unskilled talent of food service. However, this is her last day of freedom and must spend the rest of her time working in a brothel. This is very upsetting news for Jin. Is there anyway he can help out or will she accept her fate to work off her husbands debt? :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6 :bulletpurple: Episode 12:"Disorder Diaries", This is a recap episode of Fuu's thoughts over thus period. :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2k, #3, #4, #5, #6 :bulletpurple: Episode 13:"Misguided Miscreants (Part 1)", The trio is getting closer to Nagasaki and are near the ocean. On the beach, Mugen spots an old friend, but doesn't seem too enthusiastic to see her. He's even less enthusiastic to greet this next one, as they're ambushed by a group pirates. The leader has had some past experiences with Mugen that has left a bad taste in his mouth. Mugen wants nothing to do with them, but he agrees to help them with one last heist. The plan is flawless, but a conspiracy lies in the wake. This could be the end of Mugen. :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6 :bulletpurple: Episode 14:"Misguided Miscreants (Part 2)", Mugen's on the brink of death, but it's not his time yet. He still has unfinished business. Meanwhile, Jin learns of Mugen's betrayal and swears revenge. This double-cross only gets more twisted. :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2, #3 #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9 :bulletpurple: Episode 15:"Bogus Booty", Wandering through the forest, Jin finds a small bag of wealth. They fill up on food at the closest restaurant and have some leftover money. Mugen and Jin can think of only one way to spend it, because a hero's life gets lonely. Unfortunately, a team of mercenaries are operating a counterfeit operation. This money belongs to them and the're made aware of the spy. This is a powerful struggle and Mugen gets caught in the middle of it. Will he ever get what he's after or will that be the end prize? :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11, #12 :bulletpurple: Episode 16:"Lullabies of the Lost (Part 1)", The trio is still on their way to Nagasaki and are passing through the mountain forests. Fuu is fed up with Jin and Mugen's negative attitudes, and says that she is leaving. With no more duty, Jin and Mugen head their seperate ways. But, these forests are home to more things than woodland creatures. Jin is confronted by a man from his past. Mugen falls into a situation of misidentity, and Fuu just falls... :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9 :bulletpurple: Episode 17:"Lullabies of the Lost (part 2)", Left to herself, Fuu does some major thinking, and Momo-san finds a new friend. She reconsiders her actions before, but she may be too late. Jin is left to face his past. The mountain refugee is being persued, and Mugen can only do what he can to help. Will anyone change after the events of tonight? :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11, #12 :bulletpurple: Episode 18:"War of the Words", The streets of Aki are a dangerous place...for street taggers. The life of a graffiti artist carries as much a thrill and honor as the former martial arts that once flourished here. However, rival gangs compete for dominance and an all out war is about to begin. The town and nothing inside of it is safe, so people beware. :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7 :bulletpurple: Episode 19:"Unholy Union", Strange gatherings are taking place in the middle of night in Nagasaki. Checkpoints have been set up to identify Japanese Christians, and where are they being taken? An odd European claiming to be the grandson of Francisco Xavier has emerged. Armed with rifles, he appears to be lunatic or a saviour. The trio meet such a person and decide to travel with her. Behind her blindness, the woman has many levels of emotion that each one of them are able to connect with. Where will it lead them? :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9 #10, #11, #12, #13, #14, #15 :bulletpurple: Episode 21:"Elegy of Entrapment (part 2)", The blind woman's predicament has led the trio down an unruly spiral. Her skill will leave a deadly scar in all of their minds for she fights with the same passion as Mugen. Could this be an end to Fuu's search for the Sunflower Samurai with her two bodyguards? :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7 :bulletpurple: Episode 22:"Cosmic Collisions", The Japanese prize Matsutake mushrooms as an aphrodisiac. It seems that they are being persued by more than one group. A foe nicknamed "the Hand of God" has been called to finish the job, which the other assasins have started. And, a new team is tracking down the trio with a special interest in Mugen. Will the trio live to carry out their journey? Parting is such sweet sorrow. :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8 :bulletpurple: Episode 25:"Evanescent Encounter (part 2)", Fuu has finally reached Ikitsuki island. However, the surroundings of the island look dismal. A nasty group of brothers have plans for Fuu, and they've stopped her from getting any farther. Meanwhile, Mugen's "champuru-kendo" fighting style is no match for the "Hand of God." As Mugen races away to save Fuu, only the martial arts of Mariya Enshiro have a chance of defeating the emotionless assassin. :bulletpurple: Episode Captures: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11, #12,  #13 :bulletpurple: Episode 26:"Evanescent Encounter (part 3)", The trio's search to find the Sunflower Samurai has come down to this. Through their journey, they've fought through warring Yakuza, Tsujigiris, and mountain tengu. They've met friends such as Shinsuke the pickpocket, Shino the mistreated wife, and Yatsuha the beautiful ninja. Mugen and Jin's pasts have come back to confront them, and its time for Fuu. She, now, stands outside the shack with nothing stopping her. I recently watched the last three episodes. While I don't think the content gave justice to the rest of the series, what the viewer feels from watching it makes it all worth it. The last scene, during the credits, is excellent in its underscoring of the message, and lifts your spirits.

I'm in high school...I have to get up at 5:30 a.m., so there's no way I can stay up until 12:30 not unless I want to fall flat on my face during class and make a fool of myself lol!

That's cool! 10:30 is waaay better! I didn't even know cable did that...

Ehh...I thought I would like the show because I usually like high tech futuristic shows, but nyaah this wasn't anything I wanted to stay up late at night for.
